Breakfast Egg Bites

Sometimes eating breakfast can be such as hassle, especially when you were meant to leave for work 10 minutes ago. No time to sit there eating cereal and watch the clock tick by. Ladies and gentlemen, I have the solution for you. I feel like I’m pitching some miracle tonic here, but seriously, these egg bites are the answer to your breakfast problems. They’re freezable, they’re full of protein, they only need a quick zap in the microwave, you can eat them on the go and last but not least, two of these babies will fill you up until lunch time, no doubt. This recipe uses chicken, tomato, cheese, onion and parsley as the main flavours, but you can change these ingredients to what ever you like! Feeling a bit Greek? Add some red onion, olives and feta cheese. How about some Spanish? Chuck in some chopped chorizo. You gettin’ my drift? Making a batch of these means you have a delicious, filling breakfast no matter how much time you have. Let’s make some! Preheat your …

Happy happy birthday!

In November it was my 21st birthday! Woo! To be perfectly honest, it’s not quite as big of a deal here in Australia as it is in USA. We can drink and drive (not at the same time hah) at 18, but it’s still a big deal. It means I’m actually turning into a scary adult! The ladies at Flower Market Expresso sent me some absolutely beautiful flowers including lovely white, pink and red roses and a big, beautiful pink peony! What a surprise that was, I was sitting in my pyjamas eating chocolate when I was surprised by a courier. I awkwardly had to accept them in my terrible, terrible.. just terrible, smurf pants.   I was very spoiled and my wonderful boyfriend even baked me a cake. Last year he tried to bake me one and it was such a disaster, haha! It had so much food dye it didn’t rise past an inch, so it was this dense blue cake that stained everything it touched. Needless to say, I loved it oh so …

Penny Pinching Month!

Today I bring you lovely people the beginning of my penny pinching series. I have to save every penny I earn to go on holiday, so I’m going super cheap this month and next month too. This is a great opportunity for me to give you guys some cheap and delicious meals that might help if you’re trying to save money too. Some of the recipes I’ll feature will include cold-pressed coffee, lasagne soup, foolproof pasta sauce, breakfast bites, Japanese curry and many more! We’re saving to fly to Germany for a music festival, it’s only in 2 months away which is why I’m madly trying to save. I live in Australia and we’re so isolated so flights are super expensive. I’m talking $1600 to get to Europe, return. So. Ridiculous. Hopefully we can save the money we need, I’ve never been to Europe and I really want to see the bands. If you’re from Köln, give me a shout :) I also have some news about the new job I applied for. *drum roll* …

Sneak peek + I’m an idiot

You know how sometimes you just do something incredibly stupid without realising the consequences? Well folks, let me tell you what I did. I deleted aaaall these photos from my blog media folder thinking, oh yeah this will clear up heaps of space, without realising that it would delete the pictures from my blog. So, so stupid :( Now that I’m missing heaps of photos from posts, I decided to take those down until I can photograph them again. I’m not sure if you noticed but about half of my posts are now gone, and it will take me some time to get them back up. So. Much. Stupid. On a lighter note, I have two more posts for you that I’ll be putting up soon. I think I’m going to designate maybe two days a week to uploading a recipe and one day for my bites. Sound good to you? I think – now don’t quote me on this either – I’ll make Monday and maybe Wednesday recipe days and Friday a bites day. Don’t …
